A warm welcome to the 9th Asia-Pacific Manning & Training Conference in the world's primary manning hub - the Philippines. This pivotal industry event, now in its ninth year, has established itself as the shipping industry's leading gathering of manning and training experts.
As the effects of the manpower shortage start to impact shipowners, this conference will look forward not backwards, analyse solutions not problems. You can expect this event to be the liveliest yet with leading industry executives debating key issues in today's manning crisis and evaluating methods to optimise human resources onboard to man the ship of the future.
Delegates will be brought up to speed with the latest developments in the Philippines' Manning Roadmap and learn how national manning agencies are working together to ensure the continued supply of quality Filipino seafarers. The international scene will also be covered as keynote speakers debate the most promising solutions to the current situation and try to answer the question everybody is asking - how can the industry overcome current manpower obstacles and guarantee the future supply of highly qualified and competent seafarers?
Presentations and panel discussions at The 9th Annual Asia-Pacific Manning & Training Conference will span a broad range of key topics, including an analysis of current manpower supply and demand, an appraisal of industry and training institute initiatives in retaining crews and enhancing standards, as well as a review of international regulations.
